Hue Imperial Citadel – Places not to miss on a multi stop tour of Vietnam. Hue has chosen to be the capital city of the Southern Kingdom by all Nguyen Lords. For approximately 400 years, Hue has become a great landscape and architectural site. Hue’ royal complex has been officially recognized by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Located on the Northern bank of Huong River (Perfume River), with an area 500 ha, the Imperial Hue Citadel enclosure is the Kinh Thanh (Capital Citadel), Hoang Thanh (Royal Citadel) and Tu Cam Thanh (Forbidden Citadel).
From Hue city central to Imperial Citadel, it’s take a bout 4km, you can walk by yourself, but if you will visit another place like Thien Mu Pagoda or Emperor Tombs. Let’s use private taxi transfer; it’s will be more convenience.
Entrance fee just 150,000dong/pax, you will have chance to visit two places: Imperial Citadel and Royal Boutique Museum. If you would like to visit Emperor Nguyen’s Tombs; don’t forget to buy a combination tickets; you will save a little bit money.
Hue Imperial Citadel is a large area; you will walk so much for visit; prepare good shoes will made your trip more comfortable. And don’t forget close time is 17:00.
